Destillery – Rotten Posters
This post is an addendum to the Abandoned Places Tour ’14, specifically the abandoned destillery in the north of Bavaria. In the explored destillery, I have found some old posters and photos which I’ve found today in my shelf. I took photos from them. Find here the Rotten Posters.
CLOTH FACTORY
During our ABANDONED PLACES TOUR ’15 in April this year, I have captured so many photos, that I’m still working on them. Today I’m releasing 2 more sets from an abandoned cloth factory in the area of Alsace / France. Most of the facitities have been demolished already. But as usual, after a sportive role through an open window, we found some nice litte piceworth to take photos. Set 1: color Set2: black&white
Paper Factory – updates
You might remember my Abandoned Places Tour’14, where I had taken a lot of photos. From that pool, I picking from time to time a new theme and publish it here. In teh last days, I have uploaded 3 sets from an abandoned paper factore in the Black Forest / Germany: Nature Concures Rust Warehouse
Paper Factory – Black Forest – Control Facilities
Such a paper factory is a huge and complex system. To my understanding, paper processing is a mix of physical and chemical treatment of the wood fibers. Even when this factory has it’s roots at the beginning of the last century, the control facilities are still there an still impressive: Have alook to the set of photos of the Control facitilies
Paper Factory – Black Forrest – B/W1
Another treasure we’vew found on our abandoned places tour ’15: An abandoned paper factory deep in the black forrest. It has been shut down a long time ago, water comes in but it’s beside the natural dergadation still in a very good condition. I’ve shot a lot of material which I’ll publish step by step by themes. Here now the first B/W set:
LEATHER – news from the ABANDONED tour ’15
“LEATHER – an abandoned leather factory – barricated for children” Why barricated? – it was a nice story visiting this place: Sunday noon, trying to find an entrance – making a loop around the complex – all windows and doors bricked; High walls and fences. No way in. We intendet to leave. While discussing that just infront of the building next to the main street, we saw a door open. Inside some noise. I stepped in and found a man in a dark room working. He was the bricklayer completing his work. I asked him why he does that and if we can enter the building. He mentioned in a …
A flat ball wants to visit the pool
Impressions seen at THE POOL May I introduce – the ball: … walking along the the pool: ….thinking if the water isn’t too cold.. ready to jump:
THE BITCH
why this terrible name? – well – I always thought, that I have a hobby not so much people are following. In this location I have learned the opposite. When we arrived, it was OK – no-one there. After a while dozends of photographers, models and other strange people where around. One guy named the place ‘the bitch of the abandoned locations’. The most repellent experience was a group of getto kids making a ‘music’ video: …and here the exciding result: Source: Youtube (applied the standard “embedding link”) Here two photos, maybe not everybody took?
THE HOTEL – findings
another set of photos of THE HOTEL – findings:
THE HOTEL – in the rooms
Here another view into the rooms of THE HOTEL, which we have visited during our ABANDONED places tour ’15.
ABANDONED places tour ’15 – THE HOTEL
This is the first post of a series about the latest ABANDONED places tour ’15 we did through the easter weekend. The 4-days tour was through the Jura souabe (Schwäbische Alb), Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in the south of germany and the Alsace (Elsass) in the south-east of France. We took photos from during laylight from 7 to 7, so it was again a really hard tour with a few sleep and some small injuries climbing over fences etc… Here now the first series of THE HOTEL: This is the first B/W series of the kitchen and the sallar: This photos made it on FLICKR into the ‘explore’ and got …
Here my new page: URBEX special topics
After some years of urban exploring I’ve found in my pool photos, which are building a story around a certain subject. On this page, I’m showing those collections.
‘URBAN exploring’ updated
You might have seen the page ‘URBAN exploring‘. This is the landing page for the “URBEX” activities. Have a look.
ME!
On the abandoned places tours, sometimes nice places for a selfie (ego-shoot) can be found. I have started this kind of photos already some years ago with the x-mas special “The pink T-shirt”. Now here comes “The Bunker”: I have added also a dedicated page – the “ME – ego-shoots – D40OOM.eu“
C-F-PS – Gas Power Station
Here now another view into the gas power station – now in B&W, seen on my ABANDONED places tour ’14. Even when the light was good and the colours in there really nice and worth to show, I have tried B&W again. To my opnion still a better option to show the structres and textures. Have a look:
C-F-PS – Gas Power Station
One of the most impressive places on my ABANDONED places tour ’14: A gas power station. It was anm excellent day with great light comming into the building. This in combination with the colours of the huhge installations made unique photos: Have a look:
C-F-H
Another exciding location of my ABANDONED places tour ’14. It was a power station. The heart of the facility consists of two 35m ovens fired by coal to generate the heat-power. Beside that, several other halls and installations are worth to have a look. See here the series of the power station: As this time the light was excellent and the corrotion is advanced, you will have the pleasure to see it in colour.
Abandoned Tour ’14: C-F-1
Now finally I was able to work on the photos of my ABANDONED places Tour ’14 which I did around easter. Here the set of photos of the 2nd abandoned factory we have visited on DAY 6.
Canker’s home – anno ?, 1:43
….who knows when this clock has been scraped and the place got ecame abandoned. At least we know, it was 1:43 am or pm. More of “stuff” inside this location (I call it canker’s home) on the latest set of photos from my ABANDONED places tour ’14
