Servus…
*1 Since many years, I’m living living in Munich. In all this time, I have explored many interesting places, most people would not visit as a normal tourist or even not as a someone leaving here, because they are ‘normal’ places, streets, urban areas, etc. So the envinronment, I’m living in – where you might not really pay attention about in the daily life.
Furthermore, I’ve also learned a lot about the city in museums, tours, on special internet pages. Some outstanding stuff I’m collecting here.

Knowledge & History
| bavaricon (comprehensive information and historical data from Munich and Bavaria ) | Archives in Munich (unfortunately non of them has a significant online content….) | Stadtarchiv | Deutsches Museum | Chronology of Munich| Munich in Wiki (engl) | München in Wiki (dt) | München in Wikimedia | Deutsche Fotothek (many online content of historic photos) | Stadtatlas München (historic maps to download) | Münchner Stadtmuseum (one of my favorit museums in the city |
A historic view backwards starting in the 80ies. Strange beginning (comments…), but maybe still valid.
Quarters
Milbertshofen
my quarter: not really nice, but meanwhile ‘moving’ closer to downtown as the public transportation is slightly better with the Tram 23 and the fact, that the area of the Metro (col | bw ) and the old Holiday-Inn Hotel ( detail | Inn )and the famous discotheque Schwabylon – now Schwabinger Tor – has been demilished and is right now renewed with shops, offices and appartements.
Wiki Milbertshofen | muenchen.de – Milbertshofen (most interesting) | muenchenwiki Milbertshofen | Milbertshofen-net | Bezirksausschuss 11 | Flyer with History of Milbertshofen |
Museum
| Museums-Portal München | Münchner Stadtmuseum (one of my favorit museums in the city) |
